Have you always thought about becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister?
Chances are, you’ve always known about us, but it’s never felt like the right time to sign up.
It may surprise you to know that it only takes 2-4 hours a week to be a Big Brother or Big Sister. In fact, you have everything to gain by being a Big Brother or Big Sister, because this volunteer opportunity is all about FUN!
Be a friend. Be a guide. Be a mentor.
Do you remember all the fun stuff you got to do as a kid like biking, kicking a soccer ball around and doing arts and crafts? Mentees are between the ages of 6 and 16, so you’ll get to do all that fun stuff again!
What exactly would you be doing, you ask?
You and your Mentee decide what to do each week. It’s totally up to you! Go hiking or biking, play video games, watch movies, listen to music or go for walk.
We’ll even find opportunities to give you free tickets to special events and have the chance to participate in sponsored events like picnics, kayaking, water skiing, bowling and sailing!
The Best Part!
The best part is that we’ll pair you with a mentee that shares your interests so you can find common ground and build a solid friendship.
We’ve been told we’re really great at making great matches! No surprise there. After all, we’re in the business of building friendships and we’ve been doing it for over 50 years!
