Andrea Benton is our new Executive Director as of July 2026. She brings a wealth of experience to the position from marketing communications, governance, youth sports and maritime transportation. She was most recently at the Chamber of Shipping in the Lower Mainland. Having grown up in Ladysmith she is enjoying being back on the Island and taking advantage of everything the Island has to offer.
Rosie Hatfield

Rosie leads communications and marketing for BBBSCVI and Big Deals Boutique while also managing the day-to-day operations of the boutique. Her role includes social media, community outreach, promotional campaigns, merchandising, volunteer coordination, and helping grow the boutique as a social enterprise supporting youth mentoring across Central Vancouver Island.

Valerie Gosselin

Valerie is the Finance & Fund Development Director at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Vancouver Island, where she blends numbers, relationships, and a passion for community to help power life-changing mentoring programs. A bilingual social profit leader, she brings a thoughtful and strategic approach to building sustainable funding that ensures more young people have access to a caring, consistent mentor. Valerie is driven by the belief that strong connections can truly change the trajectory of a child’s life. She loves finding creative ways to grow support for the organization while staying grounded in its mission to ignite the potential of every young person. Outside of work, you’ll find her fishing with her spouse, exploring Vancouver Island, dancing, lifting weights, tending her garden, or taking her cat out for walks and sniffs.
